Teesside group

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

Last night we launched the most recent regional group in Middlesbrough Town Hall, and guess what……?

There was an orchestra of over 30 players there with nearly every instrument represented. What sort of alchemy is it that makes that happen again and again?

Most of the people there were completely new to Cobwebs, but a few regulars put in an appearance and that helped hugely in making it such a successful evening, so thank you for coming.

Thank you, too, to Liz, Alan and Rebecca for all their invisible hard work which made it happen.

If you know any players who live within sensible travelling distance of Middlesborough, let them know about the next session on Monday 29th October.

It was a great start and now we need to keep recruiting to make sure it becomes a viable independent group.

Well done everyone.

Andy

Middlesbrough Cobwebs

Monday, September 10th, 2007

The newest Cobwebs regular group begins this month. The Middlesbrough Cobwebs is starting; led by Rebecca Pedlow, it will meet on the last Monday of each month in the crypt of Middlesbrough Town Hall, at 7.30pm. The first meeting will be on September 24th.

Autumn term dates for Middlesbrough Cobwebs

September 24th
October 29th
November 26th

So if you live in the Middlesbrough area, or decide this is the best time and place for you, it will be good to see you there. Of course, everyone’s welcome, just as they are at any of the other groups, in Harelaw, Newbiggin and Tebay.

You can find details of the meeting times for all the groups in Newsletter 38, due out at the end of this week.
