Library Day – **postponed to 19th February**

Many thanks to those of you who have signed up for the Library day this Sunday, but unfortunately we’re going to postpone the event for a month. It will now happen (same time, same venue) on 19th February. We don’t normally change events at short notice so I hope this doesn’t inconvenience anyone and you’ll still be able to come on the new date. We’ll look forward to seeing you there.

Shostakovitch Cello Concerto No.1 Study Day with Jonathan Bloxham and Bartholomew La Folette (cello)
Sunday 22nd January 2017
Haxby Memorial Hall, 16 The Village, Haxby, York, YO32 3HT
12-5pm
Members £10, Non Members £13

Don’t miss this chance to play this amazing work! Working with our friend Jonathan Bloxham (assistant conductor of CBSO) and Bartholomew La Folette is going to be a fantastic experience and extremely worthwhile. The first concerto is widely considered to be one of the most difficult concerted works for cello (not orchestra) so it should be worth listening to if nothing else!

We’ll have a shared lunch on this day, just a bit later than normal.

Please do sign up as soon as possible using the enrolment form on the event webpage.

Haydn Symphonies Project – part 3
http://www.cobweborchestra.org.uk/events/event.php?id=307

The 3rd Haydn Symphonies Project session will be on Saturday 28 January 2017 at St Oswin’s Church Hall in Wylam from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. There’s space for all (relevant) instruments still at this event so please do sign up!

More information can be found on the enrolment form on the event webpage.

Pay what you think its worth events

Thanks to all of you who are signing up to these, it’s great to know so many of you will be there to support these events. Obviously as above, the Library Day date has changed so please now see this updated enrolment form to sign up.

That’s all for now. Have a good week!

Best wishes,
Lorna
