I heard it was a lovely day with Chris last weekend, thanks to all those who came and took part.
Just a short news this week:
– Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 6 in York
– Dates for your Diary
Tchaikovsky Symphony No 6 Study Day
Sunday 3rd December, 11-4pm
Haxby Memorial Hall, Haxby, YO32 3HT
**This will be our last event before Christmas so do come and celebrate a fantastic year with your fellow Cobweb colleagues.**
A message from Sue Hoggett, who’s being so helpful in organising the day:
There’s still time to sign up, and we’re looking forward to a fabulous day!
Please note that there is no need to bring your own parts for the Tchaikovsky Study Day in York on Sunday 3 December (11 – 4pm). Parts will be available for everyone who has signed up in good time.
Those playing B flat trumpet or B flat clarinet can request a transposed part (trumpet 1 and 2 or clarinet 2) ahead of time from Lorna (firstname.lastname@example.org) – or these transposed parts will be provided on the day as long as you let Lorna know in good time what you need us to print off for you).
NB Horn parts are in F
Don’t forget there’s a shared lunch!
We have a fantastic orchestra shaping up for this one but we’re still welcoming anyone who would like to come from any group across the region!
We’re particularly on the hunt for some flautists to come and play?
The enrolment form is attached here – please do get these back to me asap so I know you’re coming.
Dates for your Diary
This is just to reiterate Andy’s message, please do take a look at our events page on the website: http://www.cobweborchestra.org.uk/events/ and get the dates in your diaries. The month of symphonies in January is looking to be fantastic, and there are events listed right up until Easter too. We’ll have more information on January next week but do get the dates down ahead.
I hope you all have a great weekend at Shepherd’s Dene, thanks again to Anita for all her hard work organising it.
