| Description | This is an evening to celebrate the enjoyment we’ve all had from playing in all the widely various Cobweb events and to thank all our friends and families for their support. We’re going to play good music in the beautiful setting of the hall at Ridley Hall, enjoy a meal together, have time to talk, and wear our best party clothes. A real black tie event (though there’s always flexibility in the Cobwebs dress code). Date; Sunday September 20th Timetable; Rehearsal 3.30pm – 5.30pm Pre-dinner drinks 6pm Buffet supper 6.30pm - 7.30pm Concert 7.45pm – 8.45pm Cost; £12 a ticket for players £8 a ticket for guests Ticket price will include - pre-dinner drinks - your buffet meal - music (either listening or playing) - coffee and tea throughout the afternoon and evening. A bargain! Repertoire; Haydn; Symphony No. 97 Mendelssohn; ‘Ruy Blas’ overture Other items to be confirmed To bring; Music stand Party clothes Wine or other drinks for you and your guests to have with dinner, (Ridley Hall only provides water – and glasses.) Parking; For once, ample! Places for players and guests may need to be limited, so enrolments will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis bearing in mind the need to have a well-balanced orchestra. Guests may not want to travel with players (unless they want to walk, play billiards, sleep or watch TV in Ridley Hall while the Orchestra rehearses). So, for this event only, we will provide a lift matching service, and try to put people who need lifts in touch with people who have spare places in their cars. When you enrol, please let me know whether you or your guest can offer a place, or want a place, or are willing to negotiate. To ensure fairness in case of over-subscription for this event, enrolment will be on a first come, first served basis. Forms will be sent by email or post on September 4th and enrolments (on the appropriate form only) should be returned to me by post with an accompanying cheque.
