| Description | Collaboration with Cumbrian school orchestras. Peter Crompton is a wonderfully enthusiastic conductor who will lead the combined forces of The Cobweb Orchestra and the Queen Katherine School Orchestra in playing Beethoven’s Fourth Symphony and Malcom Arnold’s Suite of Scottish Dances. If you haven’t been lucky enough to work with Peter before at Tebay or Sedbergh, here’s a chance to play under his baton ahead of his visit to lead one of Cobwebs’ regular workshop days at The Sage Gateshead on August 7th. There will be an informal presentation to parents, family and friends at 3.30pm. Date; Saturday May 22nd 2010 Time; 10.30am – 4pm Venue; The Queen Katherine School Appleby Road Kendal LA9 6PJ Cost; £7.50 for members of The Cobweb Orchestra £10 for non-members of The Cobweb Orchestra Repertoire; Malcolm Arnold ‘Suite of Scottish Dances’ Beethoven Symphony No. 4 Refreshments; Tea/coffee available (at a small cost) Please bring a small contribution for a shared lunch.
