Parking: Members of the group can apply at the Sage Gateshead box office for an electronic pass to the upper car park which allows them to park for £1.40 per visit.
This is the only weekly group which meets in the daytime. We average about 30 players with players of most instruments present, including, occasionally, a harpist and pianist, which means that we can engage with a wide repertoire. Recent highlights were Mendelssohn’s “Italian” symphony and a medley from “Jurassic Park”. Several players from the group have also been brave enough to feature as soloists in concerto movements, so we’ve played a lot of Mozart too.
