We run a bustling programme of musical activities throughout the year, including study days, concerts, beginners days, residential weekends and foreign trips. You sign up for each event individually so you really can play in as much or as little as you like (or as the rest of life permits!). You can see what's coming up on our events page.
We have regular groups across the North of England in Middlesbrough, Morpeth, Dalston, Tebay, Spennymoor, York, Consett and Gateshead. You can just pop along to any of our groups whenever you feel like it, there's no need to even let us know in advance, although you're very welcome to get in touch first if you prefer.
Our orchestral study days give you the chance to focus on substantial works in more depth and have a really good buzz about them. Study days often end with an informal play through that we share with our friends and family.
These are what they say they are - musical days specially designed to support players who have only recently taken up their instrument or who might be new to orchestral playing. Many of our more advanced players often come along too so they can offer support and advice to newer players because we're friendly like that.
Typically our rehearsals and concerts are contained within the space of a single day so you don't need to commit to a rehearsal schedule beforehand. However, there are often opportunities to play through repertoire in Study Days or at one of our regular groups in advance if you'd like to be a little more prepared.
