The Tebay group was the second Cobweb group to be formed, and has nurtured amateur musicians of different abilities over many years. Tebay is just off junction 38 of the M6 and so is very easily accessible from all directions, and players may come from South and Central Lakeland, Penrith, the Lune Valley and the Sedbergh area.
Music has included: Bizet’s 1st Symphony, Mozart’s 25th Symphony, Schubert’s Rosamunde overture and Bruch’s Kol Nidrei.
Martin Budgett became the group’s conductor in 2023. He enjoys the musical life in Cumbria as a horn player and as an organist for his local churches.
